The Institute of Medicine and National Research Council are holding the "Play It Safe" video Public Service Announcement contest to raise awareness about sports-related concussions among youths. If you are between 13 and 22 years old, you can participate and help spread the word. Entries must be received by May 30, 2014.
Submit a one-minute video about sports concussions, based on one of the three themes below:
How are you changing the culture of sports around concussions? What are you doing to overcome the “tough it out”/“playing hurt” mindset?
What message do you have for your teammates, coaches, and parents about concussions?
How are your teammates and coaches working together to recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion?
