Overview of Activity
Students take an inventory of several of their own traits and then compare them
with the inventories of other groups of students.

Amount of Time Required for Activity: One 45-minute period
Description
Students are given a list of common genetic traits. They determine whether
they have or do not have that particular trait. The traits are counted for
the class and the frequency of each trait is determined mathematically. Students
compare the classroom frequency to the frequency of those traits in the general
population.
