Koshland-Designed Activities

Koshland-Designed Activities
The Koshland Science Museum has developed a number of teacher and student tested materials for educators. The materials connect current sciences with tangible, real-life experiences for your students. Materials range from one day long lessons to projects that may span a number of days. All of the museum's education materials can be integrated into cross-curricular units across subject areas. Expert teachers field test all materials with their students to ensure effectiveness and quality. Please check back periodically for new lessons that you can integrate into your curriculum.

Webquest
Most experienced teachers understand that students are much more likely to learn about abstract scientific concepts when they can be linked to “real-world” events. To that end, the Koshland Science Museum has created several online webquest activities for middle school and high school students. Based on exhibits at the Koshland, the webquests examine the science behind some of the world’s most pressing science-related public policy issues. Each webquest is designed with pre-selected, reputable Internet resources that allow students to practice the process of scientific inquiry through analyzing high-quality data and drawing their own inferences and conclusions.
