Visiting the Marian Koshland Science Museum

Visitors in the Infectious Disease exhibitOpened to the public in April 2004, the new Marian Koshland Science Museum uses engaging, interactive exhibits to bring to life current science that impacts peoples lives today. To help our visitors make the most of their science museum experience, the following pages contain the most up-to-date visitor information.

To enhance your experience at the museum and to protect the museum’s exhibits, the following policies are enforced within the exhibition spaces:

Facilities:

Dining:
The Marian Koshland Science Museum does not include dining facilities. A wide variety of eating establishments are located nearby.

The National Academies Bookstore is located at 500 Fifth St., NW around the corner and offers a wide range of scientific publications as well as National Academies merchandise.

Weather Emergencies:

The museum will close due to inclement weather when the Federal Government closes. Visit www.opm.gov for the Federal Government’s current operating status.
