The Koshland Science Museum received the 18th Annual Communicator Awards’ Award of Distinction for the advertising campaign, Interact with the Issues. The campaign was a collaboration between the museum and Levine and Associates, Washington, D.C.
The Interact with the Issues campaign invites teens and adults to use science to solve problems in their communities. The goal is to spark critical thinking about the issues and encourage decision making and other 21st century skills. The series ties directly to the museum’s central exhibits, the Life Lab and Earth Lab galleries, and poses questions that are complex and have no single answer.
The Communicator Awards is an international program that recognizes big ideas in marketing and communications and honors work with a lasting impact. Each year, the Communicator Awards receives more than 6,000 entries from organizations worldwide. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. The Communicator Awards is judged by the International Academy of Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of professionals from media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
