Let the Sunshine In? Koshland Data Used in Recently Published Study

From May 2012 to May 2014 researchers from New York University and the University of Sydney in Australia collected data via the Risk and Ambiguity interactive of the Koshland Science Museum’s Life Lab exhibit. This information, along with luminance (measure of brightness) sensor data from the US Earth System Research Laboratory, lead to the recently published study titled Let the sunshine in? The effects of luminance on economic preferences, choice consistency and dominance violations. The study concluded that luminance levels (the amount of sunlight) at the time of visitors interacting with the Risk and Ambiguity exhibit impacted the users’ decisions.
