Koshland Science Museum Announces Winter Events

January 6, 2011 - WASHINGTON - The Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences will begin a new season of programs and community events starting on Jan. 13. The winter 2011 calendar of events has something for critical-thinkers of all ages, from hands-on activities examining energy efficiency to a community day exploring climate connections between space and Earth. Admission for all events is free.

Koshland Science Museum Announces New Slate of Events

December 14, 2009 - WASHINGTON – Beginning in January, the Marian Koshland Science Museum is offering several public programs and free "science cafés" that explore a wide range of topics, from identity theft to the U.S. Census to viruses such as influenza and AIDS. The public programs will take place at the Koshland Science Museum; the science cafés will be held at Busboys and Poets. A schedule of events follows.

Koshland Science Museum Explores Emerging Technology in Fall Programs

August 18, 2009WASHINGTON – Beginning in September, the Marian Koshland Science Museum is offering a slate of public programs that explores how the next generation of technologies will shape the study of climate change, exploration of the universe, surveillance of infectious diseases, and the creation of art through science. Director of Koshland Science Museum Selected for Prestigious Fellowship Program

March 26, 2009Washington, DC – Patrice Legro, director of the Marian Koshland Science Museum, has been named a 2009-2010 Noyce Leadership Fellow. The fellowships, sponsored by the Noyce Foundation’s Leadership Institute, are designed to assist chief executives in science centers and related institutions “…. move forward with greater effectiveness and public impact in the 21st century.”
